Si Vis Pacem Parabellum

Good Stuff.

Speaking of guns, Michelle Malkin has a good article up with regard to the recent fracus involving Bloomberg and his craptastic comments towards the NRA and other 2nd Amendment Rights organizations.

Read the article if you like, but remove all throwable objects from reach if you happen to be a gun owner.

At the tail end of her article, Michelle rather rhetorically asks:

Isn't it time for gun-owning entrepreneurs, tourists and voters to fire back -- and take their business elsewhere?

No. And here's what I wrote to her on the subject.

It's not, because running from the problem isn't going to make it go away. What, do you honestly believe that the Clinton-esque gun grabbers are going to merrily stop short of their eventual goal of banning private ownership of firearms because we all move to Texas? Did Clinton give half a damn who left New York when he pushed through his foolish Assault Weapons Ban? In a word, no.

New York City is the front lines in the battle for the survival of our 2nd Amendment rights. Running away won't win any victories in that regard, and will only serve to increase the margin for twits like Bloomberg getting voted into office.

What NYC needs is a representation of the rank and file gun owner, so as to help educate the amiable leftists that frankly have not one damn clue what the average gun owner is like, save for the lies pedaled by the Brady Campaign and other such idiocy.

The solution isn't to run-- It's to fight.
